Data protection law

We give advice on all relevant data protection issues, notably:

  • Assisting the data protection officer of a global corporation in a major data privacy compliance project, which included the audit and mapping of data collections and data flows, the analysis of compliance risks, and the development of a step plan of necessary and recommended measures
  • Advising clients in relation to moving data storage and processing to the cloud; data encompassed all types of client data including emails and their attachments, personal information about or of customers and employees, financial records, confidential and proprietary information including in respect of product development and testing, information relevant to litigation in which the client is or may be involved and information that is protected by privilege
  • Assisting clients in relation to the introduction of international whistle blower hotlines and drafting appropriate wording for respective policies in coordination with the international Eversheds Sutherland network
  • Advising a manufacturer of medicinal products in relation to the introduction of an online patient’s questionnaire to monitor post-surgery recovery
  • Advising a global pharmaceutical company in relation to setting up a platform for pre-operative planning tools
