About Eversheds

Is the firm involved in pro bono work?

At Eversheds Sutherland we're aware of the need for legal advice among those parts of the community that cannot afford to pay for it. We recognise our responsibility to assist in the provision of legal advice to these members of the community, as well as the charitable sector. We're uniquely placed to undertake pro bono work across England and Wales.

We're committed members of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, and support Law Works and ProHelp projects, attending and advising both at the Mary Ward Centre and Battersea Legal Advice Centre.

What about charitable and voluntary work in the community?

We believe that it's important to encourage community involvement among our people and regularly undertake volunteer activities to provide practical assistance. Everyone has the opportunity to become involved through the Care Programme, which is operated in the UK by Business in the Community. Care projects support the environment, education and IT skills in the community. We also fund and distribute our charitable trust in response to requests for donations, particularly those in which our people are involved. For more information please take a look at the Eversheds Sutherland in the community section.

Are there opportunities to work abroad?

Yes. Our clients are becoming increasingly international in their origin and scope. The domestic clients of each office are doing business outside their own countries more frequently and our lawyers are acting for clients in different countries across the work more frequently. We have an international network of offices and we work closely with colleagues abroad. Secondments have also been made with international clients.
