COVID-19 vaccination, testing and the workplace in the UK - law and practice
Who should attend
This event is aimed at HR and H&S professionals and in-house lawyers.
Synopsis
With the Government encouraging employers to introduce their own COVID-19 testing programmes and the vaccination roll-out generating “no jab, no job” headlines, how should employers be responding?
Vaccination and testing workplace policies require careful planning, reflecting health and safety, data protection and employment law issues, all framed by fast-moving scientific data and public attitudes. Some employees may have genuine concerns which employers should anticipate, with workforce engagement playing an important role in getting this right.
Join our experienced lawyers online as they tackle key questions including: whether to mandate vaccinations and/or testing; how to deal with employee hesitancy; what steps should an employer take to safeguard employee privacy; and, what should be included in employer vaccine and/or testing policies?
Delegates will gain an insight into
- Employer health and safety duties in the context of vaccination and testing
- Equality, unfair dismissal, detriment and other employment law risks
- Updating disciplinary and data privacy policies
- The role of trade unions and employee representatives
