International Pensions Promises conference

Who should attend

This course is aimed at in-house lawyers and pensions managers who work in international organisations, as well as HR directors and their teams, benefit consultants and anyone responsible for pension and retirement benefit plans in different jurisdictions.

Synopsis

We are living in exceptional times. The global Covid-19 crisis has forced governments and regulators to provide various support packages and easements which have impacted on retirement benefit plans and sponsors.

Meanwhile, home working potentially exposes retirement benefit plans - full of money and member data - to increased cyber risk. And, to complicate matters further, the UK has just left the EU after 47 years of membership. Then there is the global issue of ESG and climate change which will impact on all of our lives including the way in which retirement benefit plans are funded and invested.

This course provides a broad understanding of these key issues affecting retirement benefits across a range of jurisdictions, combining plenary and stream sessions in an interactive environment. You also have a choice of attending country-specific breakout rooms for an update on current hot topics affecting those jurisdictions as well as a choice of attending a breakout room in respect of dealing with internationally mobile employees.
