How we can help

As a full-service domestic and international law firm, Eversheds Sutherland is able to provide advice on many different areas which a government department or other body for whatever reason, chooses to engage external legal resource.

An indication of the breadth and depth of the firm's expertise is the fact that Eversheds Sutherland are appointed to the UK Government Legal Services Framework Agreement (previously known as CATALIST). This is a full service framework for use by Central Government Departments and other public sector bodies. Eversheds Sutherland has been appointed to the following panels:

  • Major or complex projects
  • General commercial
  • General litigation and legal support services
  • IT, telecoms, media and e-commerce

This means we are considered by UK government to have the experience and resources to advise on a wide range of major projects and commercial, IT and litigation work in the public sector.

Reflecting the nature of the sector, we act for a broad range of clients, from Whitehall departments to non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs); from public corporations to executive agencies and trading funds. We also act for an increasing number of overseas governments, where we adopt the same approach.
