International education

Education has always been, by its nature, one of the most international of sectors. A major trend in recent years has been the exponential growth of transnational education. It used to be the case that international education was mainly about attracting overseas students to a host institution. Now, we are seeing a wide variety of arrangements across the higher, further and schools sectors (both publicly and privately funded) with an international element which encourage the growth of international operations.

Our international vision is about delivering, through our own offices and network of best friends’ firms across the globe, a high standard of integrated legal service which is respectful of local cultures and business customs and the demanding standards of quality assurance expected of education providers. Our clients increasingly tell us that we differentiate ourselves from our competitors by doing just that.

Our international offices work together on a daily basis but you will have a dedicated Partner who will act as a single point of contact for your international activities co-ordinating the lawyers in those countries you operate in.

Eversheds Sutherland offers more than a legal service. We are at the forefront of shaping international education policy. We can offer benchmarking advice and we understand what makes for successful international ventures. We also have extensive experience of helping education institutions which turn to us if things go awry.
