We are a true technology sector specialist with a strong UK and international practice. As such, we will have often advised others before you on the issues your business is facing.

This avoids any concern you may have about your lawyers getting ‘up to speed’. We act for approximately 250 information technology suppliers, including those supplying software, systems and IT services (consultancy, maintenance and support and outsourcing) and products to consumers and/or businesses. We also act for many customers in the technology sector. This means that we understand the pressure points from both perspectives and can help you strike the right deal which is both deliverable and meets your goals.

IT/technology experience

  • Creating a contracts ‘playbook’ for a major UK public company and providing training in relation to contracting in 6 territories across EMEA.
  • Advising Cisco Systems on various sales, technology and licensing agreements across EMEA over a number of years.
  • Advising DACC Europe on all of their commercial and technology contracts, including a data services management and connectivity agreement with Credit Suisse and an IT installation contract with British Sky Broadcasting.
  • Drafting standard software licence and maintenance agreements for Misys plc, a FTSE 250 supplier of banking and financial services software, and rolling them out across twelve jurisdictions in three continents.
  • Advising Neustar Inc on contracts for a Digital Content Entertainment System in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.
  • Advising Quantel on the supply of broadcasting systems to customers in Australia, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Switzerland, UK and USA.
  • Advising Siemens Enterprise Communications on creating sales contracts for software solutions as well as procuring software for their business and sales solutions.
  • Advising a large US retailer on the launch of their new direct market website in six different jurisdictions, including a review of regulatory issues faced and customer facing terms. We were also instructed to advise on their website hosting arrangements with a UK provider.
