  • Advising Rhapsody, America's number-one premium subscription music service on the privacy aspects of its acquisition of Napster businesses in Germany and the UK.
  • Advising Comet, Tiffany & Co, The Timberland Company, Wolverine and many other retailers on website privacy.
  • Advising a retail client in respect of a "voluntary" ICO audit.
  • Advising an organisation so as to successfully defend them from a monetary penalty order proposed by the data protection regulator for the accidental electronic disclosure of sensitive medical information to unintended and unauthorised recipients.
  • Advising client on a sensitive FOI request with potential criminal consequences from disclosure, as well as complex data protection, health and safety and regulatory issues, including liaison with Central Government Department.
  • Advising several education clients on the privacy issues arising from proposed implementation of cloud computing solutions from Microsoft and Google, including consideration of Patriot Act issues.
  • Advising a medical devices company on the data privacy issues related to the testing and data analysis of a new product involving information flows from user to clinicians, service providers and others, including drafting privacy terms for use with participating hospital centres and their patients.
  • Advising a university on its approach to obtaining consent in respect of a proposed medical research project involving school children.
  • Representing a financial services client in respect of data security breach incidents including guidance on reporting and notification, and defending client position in connection with subsequent ICO interaction.
