GDPR is new, EU-wide data protection legislation to replace the current 20-year-old EU data protection laws. It is designed to be “future-proof” against technological developments, and it hopes to harmonize data privacy laws across the EU. It will require greater transparency and accountability from companies, and it will impose greater privacy protections for individuals. Regulators will have a range of significant sanctions to enforce compliance, even over US companies.
"They really know their work and their business. The analysis of options and the guidance they offered on different levels of risk was good, and they’ve always been very responsive.“
