General Data Protection Regulation hub

GDPR is new, EU-wide data protection legislation to replace the current 20-year-old EU data protection laws. It is designed to be “future-proof” against technological developments, and it hopes to harmonize data privacy laws across the EU. It will require greater transparency and accountability from companies, and it will impose greater privacy protections for individuals. Regulators will have a range of significant sanctions to enforce compliance, even over US companies.
