Making Manchester - Placemaking and transformation

Thursday 23rd November 13:00 - 18:00, HOME Centre, Tony Wilson Place, Manchester

Join us at the iconic HOME centre on Thursday 23rd November where we will be bringing together thought leaders, city officials and the extended property, academic and cultural community to dive deeper into the concept of “placemaking”, address the challenges that we face as a region and collectively explore how we can improve our built environment.

Real Estate Investment: Corporate Real Estate Academy Training at Eversheds Sutherland “CREATE”

From simple onshore and offshore companies to highly complex joint venture transactions using a variety of different vehicles, we help our clients identify their optimum structuring choices for holding, developing and selling real estate.

The choice depends on a number of factors from the identity of the investor(s), the type and location of the asset and the business plan, to aspects such as tax efficiency, flexibility of exit, type of return sought, regulatory requirements and future proofing.

We are passionate about developing the next generation of property players, ensuring they understand what drives structures in the marketplace. To achieve this we are developing our Corporate Real Estate Academy Training at Eversheds Sutherland (CREATE) workshops.

Commercial real estate - ABC webinar training

We recognise that those who work in commercial property have a wide variety of roles and, as a result, different requirements when it comes to how much they need to know about property law. To reflect this diversity, we want to enable everyone to have the opportunity to receive the training that they need for their day to day work.

We have developed this ABC training, which consists of short (max 30 mins) webinars that are aimed at three different levels.

A. Basic level – aimed at those with little or no property experience;

B. Intermediate - for those who know the basics of property law but want a little more on certain key areas; and

C. Advanced - for those who know about property law but are interested in looking at the law in a little more detail in certain areas.

Illuminating Insights: The future of London’s housing and infrastructure

Tuesday, 25 October – Museum of London

To mark the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London 1666, Eversheds Sutherland is supporting the Museum of London’s Fire!Fire! exhibition. This fascinating exhibition will speak to Londoners of today about a momentous time in our city’s history.

To complement the exhibition and tell the story of modern day London, we are hosting a series of “Illuminating Insights” at the Museum of London, where our guests will hear from leading thinkers and business leaders on the significant challenges and opportunities facing London today.

The generation of the Great Fire successfully rebuilt the housing, infrastructure and business environment needed to open London’s path to global leadership. Our generation, particularly in light of recent developments, must respond with similar energy and innovation to maintain London’s global status.

This event will explore how the capital can deliver the infrastructure and investment into housing required to ensure its continued and successful growth. Examining this subject, we are delighted to be joined by speakers from the heart of issue:

Bill Hughes – Head of Real Assets, Legal & General

John Dickie - Director of Strategy & Policy, London First

Bruce Dear – Head of London Real Estate, Eversheds Sutherland
