Eversheds Sutherland Build to Rent Group
The opportunity to deliver a significant proportion of the UK’s housing needs via a large scale Private Rented Sector (PRS) has never been greater.
The market in residential property has come a long way from the traditional buy-to-sell or private rented sector model. The institutions have become interested in the sector again as an asset class, and concepts from the US and Europe are being looked at more closely in order to put the whole sector on a more institutionalised basis. Supply, scale, good management and yield all remain the issues that investors take into account.
The Build to Rent sector seeks to address this and in response we have brought together lawyers from our residential, development planning, tax and construction teams to create a dedicated Build to Rent group to meet the specific requirements of a PRS deal.
