Corporate responsibility, pro bono, and environmental sustainability

Our international approach

At Eversheds Sutherland we understand that our operations have a local, regional and global impact. We are committed to promoting the conservation of natural resources, preventing environmental pollution and continuously improving our environmental performance.

In 2020 we signed up to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and will set time bound reduction targets which are in line with limiting rising global temperatures to well below 2 degrees.

The Chancery Lane Project

We are key contributors to The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP) a steering group consisting of law firms from around the globe who develop new contracts and model laws to help fight climate change.

Policies

Our energy and sustainability policies ensure that we are working with our suppliers to reduce the impact of our operations on the planet.

Throughout our international offices

In the UK we are an Executive member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance (LSA) and in partnership have signed up to the Legal Renewables Initiative (LRI) committing to purchase renewable energy for offices where we have operational control.

And we support a calendar of UN environmental events such as Earth Hour, World Environment Day and World Food Day across all of our offices which allows us to engage our people and allow our communities to thrive.
