Practice notes

Daniel is an associate in our Litigation & Dispute Management group. He specialises in Commercial Dispute Resolution.

His recent experience includes:

  • acting for a group of English utilities companies to defend a c. £150 million restitution claim brought by approximately 120 property search companies under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004
  • advising the purchasers of an international manufacturing group regarding an indemnity given by the sellers in respect of notified claims and a multi-million pound retention fund
  • advising the administrators of a multi-billion pound financial services company and the former CEO of the company in a dispute with a former consultant alleging breach of an oral agreement

Daniel has a particular interest in the TMT sector and is a member of Eversheds Sutherland's TMT group. In the technology space, he has helped a number of clients in software development and licencing disputes. Daniel is also involved in Eversheds Sutherland's Industrials group with a particular interest in supply chain disruption. 

Daniel is also an active member of Eversheds Sutherland’s Total Dispute Finance group which is aimed at helping clients take advantage of the dynamic litigation funding landscape to minimise their litigation costs risk.  

Daniel is also the Chair of The Black Solicitors Network's northern committee. The BSN is a not-for-profit organisation with a 25-year record of providing vital support networks for black solicitors and mentoring the next generation of black lawyers. In his role Daniel has helped The BSN provide work, mentoring, careers workshops, and networking opportunities for aspiring lawyers from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds. Daniel is also a member of the Manchester Law Society's Equality Diversity and Inclusion committee and, as a trainee, was the Education Director of the Manchester Trainee Solicitor's Group.
