Practice notes
Michael is a Senior Associate in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team in London and a member of the firm’s International Arbitration Group. Michael advises domestic and international clients on a broad range of disputes ranging from High Court litigations to international and investor-state arbitrations.
Michael has a particular interest in energy-related disputes, having spent a six-month secondment at ExxonMobil whilst at his previous firm.

- Acting for an African State in a $500m investor-state arbitration against a South Korean construction company.
- Acting for a Southeast Asian government in a multi-billion dollar dispute with a sovereign wealth fund.
- Acting for a world-renowned health spa located on Lake Geneva in a multi-million dollar SIAC arbitration against a Singaporean services company.
- Acting for a global supply chain manager in concurrent English litigation proceedings and a DIFC arbitration concerning a dispute over the supply of goods to an international fashion brand.
- Acting for a Mauritian fragrance distributer against a UK mining company in respect of a significant cross-border fraud.
- Acting for 13 sellers of a digital workspace software company in relation to a multi-million dollar IT warranty dispute.
- Acting for a global security services company in an investigation into a privately-run prison.
- Acting for a downstream petroleum company in a claim stemming from an oil spill on an large equestrian country estate.
- Acting for an air traffic navigation services business in a misrepresentation and negligent misstatement claim against a former employee.
