Maria is a Principal Associate in the Real Estate group specialising in and has a particular interest in property investment, landlord and tenant and property finance. Maria has acted for institutional and property company investors, borrowers, lenders and occupiers in a range of sectors including office, retail and industrial. Maria has a breadth of experience in commercial real estate matters.

Maria’s experience includes: acting for a major insurance company in the sale of an investment property for the sale price of £20 million in Newcastle-upon-Tyne; acting for a lender in a £10 million refinancing of a Mayfair property; sale of a multi-let commercial investment building for £20 million; sale of a portfolio of commercial properties for £25 million; acting on a sale of an investment building in Soho for £29 million; granting a lease for a financial institution in relation to their London Headquarters (annual rent in excess of £300,000) and advising on two critical re-structures for a retail client (one involving a pre-pack administration).

Maria (nee Papettas) is regarded by Legal 500 as a leading individual in particular for her ‘attention to detail’.
