Emily is an Associate in our Competition, EU and Trade team in London.
Emily advises on a wide range of competition and trade law matters including cartel investigations, multi-jurisdictional merger control, foreign investment and national security reviews, and day-to-day behavioural advice (including vertical agreements and compliance).
Emily has worked on investigations by both the UK Competition and Markets Authority and the European Commission, and has coordinated merger control and foreign investment / national security filings in jurisdictions around the world. She also has experience in a range of industries, and in particular critical sectors which may be subject to national security legislation.
Emily has acted for a variety of clients
- reviewing a global consumer client’s distribution agreements, and coordinating local law advice for agency restrictions
- advising on and coordinating a large number of merger control and national security filings in a leading cyber-security transaction*
- advising on the merger control and foreign investment aspects of the sale of a private equity firm*
- undertaking competition compliance reviews of a clients portfolio companies*
- submitting a leniency application for a company which suspected it participated in a market-sharing cartel agreement*
