Practice notes

Tessa started her career at Eversheds Sutherland in 2011 and is an associate within our Employment and Labour Law practice group in the Eversheds Sutherland Amsterdam office. Tessa advises both national and international clients of all aspects of employment law including works council and labor unions issues. She has superspecialized in matters relating to sick employees and has substantial litigation experience with particular focus on individual dismissal cases. Tessa studied Dutch law at the University of Groningen and completed in 2015 the Post Graduate Employment Education.

Relevant expertise:

  • Advised a foreign temporary employment agency about the possible risks of establishing a temporary employment agency in the Netherlands and taking over personnel over other Dutch temporary employment agencies. 
  • Advising and assisting a cooperative association, with members in the United States, with regard to the dismissal of a managing director in the Netherlands.
  • Advising and assisting a company recently established in the Netherlands on all aspects of employment law, such as applicability of collective bargaining agreement, work council related matters and day-to-day employment matters. 
  • Represented a mobile phone provider in legal proceedings against an employee who was accused of fraud.
