Mike is a Principal Associate in our Corporate and Private Equity Group in London and advises on a broad range of domestic and international M&A transactions.
Mike has considerable experience advising on private equity matters and regularly acts for sponsors, management teams and portfolio companies across a range of sectors. His recent transactions include:
- advising Inflexion on its sale of Alcumus to funds advised by Apax Partners LLP
- advising Equistone Partners Europe and the management team of Team ITG (Inspired Thinking Group) on the sale of a majority stake to Bridgepoint
- advising management on the sale of Forest Holidays to Sykes Holiday Cottages, a cottage rental agency backed by Vitruvian Partners
- advising management on the sale of DD Group to Sun European Partners
- advising management on the £308m sale of Wolseley to Clayton Dubilier & Rice
- advising Johnson Matthey Plc, a global leader in sustainable technologies, on the multijurisdictional sale of part of its Battery Materials business to EV Metals Group, a global battery chemicals and technology business
Mike has recently completed a nine month secondment at leading mid-market private equity firm Inflexion Private Equity where he worked alongside the investment team on numerous acquisitions and realisations. Notable transactions include Inflexion's investments into Enviolo, Wood Thilsted, Detector Testers, WithWise, Infront, CNX Therapeutics and ANS. Mike also worked on the exits of Halo, Medivet and Huws Gray.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland Mike worked for nearly ten years at a leading law firm in London where he trained.
