Practice notes

Louise is a partner in our corporate claims team. She has over 22 years’ experience defending catastrophic and fatal injury claims. She is regularly instructed in complex high value claims including spinal injury, amputation and disease. She has particular expertise in brain injuries.

Louise acts in sensitive cases often involving regulatory investigations and/or media interest arising out of the incident giving rise to an injury. She provides strategic advice on reputational issues, brand protection and risk management and helps clients navigate any regulatory involvement.

Louise’s cases are often cross-border and involve a foreign law element.

Recent examples include defending a claim for spinal injuries by Olympian gymnast Beth Tweddle arising out of her participation in the channel four television programme “The Jump”; advising on the defence by an automotive manufacture of a major, multi-million cross border fatal accident claim (product liability), defending the highest value multi-million brain injury claim to come before the Supreme Court of Gibraltar.

Louise is recognised in the Legal 500 for her defendant injury work and has been praised for her efficiency by her clients in the Chambers directory.
