Kerry joined Eversheds in 2008, spending four years working in the employment department advising predominantly public sector clients. This included advising local authorities, police authorities and further and higher education institutions.
Since joining the commercial team, Kerry has specialised in procurement law and commercial contracts.
Relevant experience - procurement
- Kerry provides EU procurement advice on EU-compliant tendering processes to public sector and utility clients using the open, restricted and competitive dialogue procedures;
- Kerry also advises on the implications of the overarching principles of the EU Treaty;
- Kerry has experience in preparing and reviewing procurement documentation, including selection questionnaires, invitations to tender and standstill notifications; and
- Kerry has experience in drafting and negotiating effective contract documents for tender processes.
Relevant experience – commercial contracts
- Kerry specialises in general contracts law, with a particular focus on consumer protection law.
Kerry’s recent experience includes:
- providing extensive advice to the education sector on the implications of the CMA’s guidance on consumer law compliance;
- drafting banking product terms for a large financial services client;
- advising a public sector organisation in connection with its commercial contracts for the procurement of translation services (under framework agreements);
- advising a number of Education clients in relation to commercial collaboration agreements with private sector organisations; and
- advising various third sector organisations in relation to their commercial agreements with private sector organisations (supply of goods and services).
