Izabela an Australian-qualified Senior Associate in our Inquires and Investigations team with previous experience advising the UK and Australian Government and the judiciary.
Izabela has experience acting on behalf of clients who have been granted Core Participant status in UK inquiries; and has worked as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team on a number of major statutory public inquiries in Australia. She currently acts on behalf of clients who are Core Participants to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and the Infected Blood Inquiry.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland in April 2021, Izabela worked as an Advisory Lawyer for the Government Legal Department; and prior to that, as a Senior Lawyer as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team on two major statutory public inquiries in Australia – the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. In both roles, she was part of the team that provided all the inquiry’s legal services from commencement to completion; and she had day-to-day supervision of the investigation, preparation and delivery of a number of complex and high profile public hearings. Izabela’s previous experience also includes working as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team on a Special Commission of Inquiry into a police investigation of child sexual abuse allegations; and as Judicial Associate to a judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in Australia.
