Tim is a Partner in our Commercial Dispute Resolution group in London and is ranked as a “key lawyer” in Legal 500. 

He specialises in high value domestic and cross-border disputes, including advising on commercial contract disputes, commercial fraud cases, warranty claims and negligence claims. In addition to contesting disputes in High Court litigation or arbitration, he is experienced in utilising alternative dispute resolution processes to resolve disputes before they escalate, including mediation and expert determination.  Tim’s international experience includes four years working in the Asia Pacific region and he is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong.

His recent experience includes: acting at trial for a large Middle East based energy company successfully claiming that it had been defrauded in the sum of US$87 million; acting for a seller defending warranty claims relating to the condition of the company sold pursuant to a share purchase agreement; and acting for a US chemicals company in a US$100m contractual dispute with a Japanese supplier of business critical manufacturing equipment.

Tim is closely involved in implementing and using litigation technology to assist with the resolution of disputes and the delivery of legal services. He is the author of the Hong Kong chapter of 'A Practical Guide to E-Discovery in Asia' published by LexisNexis.
