Lindsey is a Principal Legal Manager in our Financial Services, Disputes and Investigations product group, part of the litigation practice group. Lindsey has over 20 years' experience in a wide variety of contentious litigation matters acting for both claimants and defendants, including subrogated insurance recoveries, banking disputes, title rectification matters, professional negligence claims, S75 Consumer Credit Act claims and contentious secured lending work. Lindsey has acted for most of the high street banks and large mortgage lenders.
Her experience includes handling substantial professional negligence claims against valuers and solicitors involving multiple customers and properties on behalf of lending institutions. Lindsey has also successfully handled numerous contested possession actions in which overriding interest and fraud / forgery is alleged by the customer and claims against HM Land Registry for an indemnity.
Lindsey was previously involved in the test case litigation involving the issue of overriding interests claimed by tenants over mortgage lenders under sale and rent back agreements.
Lindsey currently manages a team handling professional negligence claims, contested mortgage repossession matters and claims against large lenders by customers arising from various customer facing products such as mortgages, credit cards, credit agreements and loans. She is also skilled at managing document reviews for large volumes of disclosure.
Lindsey has written numerous articles and was editor of the secured recoveries briefing for 5 years.
Lindsey has been individually recognised in Legal 500 for banking litigation which described her as 'efficient, pleasant and experienced'.
