Practice notes

Joanne is a Partner in our finance team, with a particular focus on property finance. Joanne is one of the key members of our national Real Estate Finance practice.

Joanne acts for a wide range of lenders in relation to Real Estate Finance, including Santander UK plc, HSBC Bank plc, Lloyds Bank plc, Deutsche Bank, Nationwide Building Society, UBS and The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.

Joanne has been involved in designing and delivering national training on Real Estate Finance and her particular area of specialism is acting on lending transactions which are "non-standard" and include complex structures and security. Joanne also specialises in property restructuring and acts for a large number of clients on receiverships and other property restructuring and insolvency matters.

In addition to her Real Estate Finance practice, Joanne also acts for clearing banks on large corporate and acquisition finance and has recently advised on several multi - jurisdictional corporate lending deals.

Recent examples of deals Joanne has acted on include:

- Leading the Eversheds banking team that advised the Annington Group on their £165,000,000 December 2013 refinancing with The Royal Bank of Scotland

- Acting for HSBC on their financing of the US$75m acquisition of US technology group Kopin plc by IQE plc in January 2013
