Max van Drunen is a partner and a civil law notary in the Dutch real estate practice.
Max has advised on numerous real estate transactions, securities, funds, infrastructure and many other real estate related topics. He has extensive experience in advising on alternative asset classes including logistics, data centers and industrial premises.
Max has a special interest in projects in the field of renewable energy and has advised on wind farms, solar parks and biomass power plants. He is also well experienced in the transfer and financing of networks, aircraft and ships.
Max’s clients include listed and other large companies, private equity firms, developers, pension funds, banks, grid operators and authorities. He works in close cooperation with the Corporate/M&A and Banking & Finance practice.
Max also works as an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University, where he teaches property law and insolvency law. He is a regular speaker at conferences and publishes frequently in the field of real estate law, including on renewable energy related topics.
Max holds a PhD from Humboldt University Berlin and is highly conversant with German law and business culture.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Max worked at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and DLA Piper.
