Practice notes

Natalie is a Real Estate lawyer advising in Energy work.

Natalie is experienced in Energy work, advising in particular on property aspects of EV charging and renewable energy projects including wind, solar PV (ground mount and rooftop), anaerobic digestion, biomass, hydrogen and battery storage.

Natalie qualified in 2008 and has broad experience in commercial sales and purchases, commercial leases, conditional contracts, overage, options, development agreements and easements. She has acted for landowners, developers, landlords and tenants in various capacities including joint ventures, SPVs, charities and community groups.

Outside of work, Natalie is a keen skier and Exeter Chiefs fan. She also likes to keep fit by running and walking her dog.

Natalie speaks intermediate-level Spanish.

Natalie is a member of Eversheds Sutherlands Corporate Responsibility Committee and Diversity and Inclusion network. She was recently appointed as the Carer Champion for Eversheds Sutherland.

Outside of work Natalie is Trustee for St Giles Animal Rescue Charity. She is an advocate for sustainability with a long-standing interest in mitigating climate change and protecting the environment

Natalie has presented to numerous organisations and professional networks on her pro-bono and CSR work.

Natalie has acted across a wide variety of EV and energy transactions including:-

  • advising on the real estate aspects of a corporate battery storage project acquisition
  • advising a national institutional investor client on the grant of EV leases across their portfolio, including super-fast charger installations
  • advising a market leading EV operator on their suite of template agreements
  • advising a prominent renewable energy company in relation to the grant of an option and lease of an innovative mixed use solar, wind and hydrogen site

  • Natalie was awarded the British Empire Medal and the Somerset Medal for her voluntary work during the COVID19 pandemic
