Shelley is a principal associate in our Company Commercial Practice Group where she advises a range of clients in the private sector and public sector in the UK and internationally on all aspects of company law, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, investments and private equity.
Her experience includes:
- advising both state owned and privately owned energy companies in relation to the sale and purchase of energy efficiency companies and biomass, solar, hydro-electric and wind energy projects in the UK, Europe and MENA, including advising on the acquisition of a majority stake in Europe's largest single site onshore windfarm
- advising one of the UK's largest property holding groups on its corporate acquisitions and investments
- advising a variety of clients in relation to the financial services sector including insurance, foreign exchange and consumer finance
- establishing a new fund to support growing businesses in the life sciences sector
- advising a leading private equity house with a focus on the financial services sector in relation to a number of its investments
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Shelley trained at and subsequently worked as an associate at a market leading and award winning funds practice where she assisted with the establishment, restructuring and ongoing business operations of funds for a variety of Europe's largest fund managers. Her experience includes being seconded to work in the legal team of Europe's largest hedge fund manager.
