Practice notes

James is a Principal Associate in our Corporate team. He specialises in corporate transactional work including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, group reorganisations and general corporate governance matters.

James' recent experience includes advising:

  • Aston Lark, an independent Chartered Insurance Broker backed by Goldman Sachs, on multiple acquisitions including Robertson Low (its first international acquisition), Wright Insurance Brokers (its second international acquisition) and Protean Risk
  • Assa Abloy UK, the largest global supplier of intelligent lock and security solutions, on its acquisition of Lorient Group Ltd, a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance door sealing systems
  • the owners of Park Sheet Metal, a manufacturer of complex sheet metal components, in connection with the sale of Park Sheet Metal to Rubicon Partners
  • the owners of RedSpeed International, a leading supplier of solutions to the traffic enforcement industry, in connection with the sale of RedSpeed International to Sdiptech AB (publ)
  • H2 Private Equity and the management team in connection with the sale of Hancocks Cash & Carry to Innovative Bites

James has an honours degree in Law from Staffordshire University where he also completed his Legal Practice Course with Distinction.
