Practice notes

Frederik is a Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Management practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich.

In this role, he specialises in advising on complex legal disputes in and out of court including national and international arbitration proceedings in various areas of business and corporate law, i.e. disputes among shareholders, issues concerning the managing director and the management board as well as concerning the statutory provisions for commercial agents and distributors as well as banking law. Apart from that, Frederik supports business executives and managers on their way to self-employment and in establishing their own companies.

Owing to long years of experience, Frederik has developed profound expertise with regard to leading national and international lawsuits. This expertise also encompasses interdisciplinary activities such as constitutional complaints, the coordination of disputes with other actors, as for instance auditors, tax advisors and, if required, criminal defence lawyers, as well as the creativity needed to develop strategies for the settlement of legal disputes which are strictly tailored to the client's interests.

Frederik’s recent experience includes:

  • Comprehensive representation in court of a board member of a major international corporation in the context of a corruption scandal in civil and criminal courts as well as at the German Federal Supreme Court
  • Representation both in and out of court of the Munich harness racing and horse breeding association (Münchener Trabrenn- und Zuchtverein e.V.) in a dispute regarding the ownership of the harness racing track in Daglfing
  • Comprehensive advice and representation regarding disputes among shareholders
  • Provision of legal support to a former managing director of an international software company against former Malaysian business partners in proceedings before the High Court in Kuala Lumpur and during ICC arbitration proceedings in Singapore
  • Representation in court of a Slovenian manufacturer of medical products against a Danish manufacturer of medical products at the Munich Regional Court, which resulted from a dispute regarding the validity of the renewal of a supply agreement
