Natasha is a Senior Associate on the construction and engineering team based in the Manchester office.

Natasha specializes in non-contentious and transactional construction, with particular experience with large-scale contracts in the infrastructure, utilities and energy sectors. Natasha has drafted both bespoke contracts and amendments to the full suite of standard forms, including JCT, NEC, ICC, ICheme and FIDIC. She has experience in EPC, EPCM contracts, alliancing, partnering and construction management.

Natasha's recent experience includes:

  • assisted a major energy client on contracts for development work for Carbon Capture and Storage and Hydrogen pipelines across a major UK industrial region; drafted contracts that largely took the form of an NEC4 PSC with bespoke amendments across the lots for front end engineering design etc.
  • advised a national water utility company on a long-term water supply project; drafted contract based on an NEC4 PSC with bespoke amendments for the client partner, with payment Option C and Option E applying to different phases of the services
  • drafted contracts for a UK gas distribution network for works delivery frameworks, based on NEC4 call off contracts and £600m incentivized construction management contracts to manage the planning and delivery of its 10-year mains replacement program across its networks
  • drafted and assisted with bespoke contracts national network on infrastructure projects in the UK, including joint delivery alliancing contracts, framework agreements and rail industry standard form contracts
  • primary lead for local government authority to assist with enquiries concerning the full NEC3 suite of contracts; drafted highways framework agreement and NEC4 call-off contracts with guidance notes to assist the internal legal, capital program and highways teams project management
  • drafted and advised on an NEC3 ECC Option E contract for a leader in modified wood timber technology for mechanical installation, piping fabrication and installation, and pipe support fabrications and installation works
  • advised a major energy client on a minor works based NEC4 standalone contract and framework with NEC4 ECSC call-off both for their internal refurbishment works and governor improvement program
  • drafted bespoke supply, installation and maintenance contracts following the launch of a £1.42billion second-generation joint initiative procurement
  • drafted a variety of bespoke and FIDIC contracts for a daniyroduction company for works in Vietnam
  • drafting contracts on behalf of a large utilities organization for the supply and installation and supply only for the restoration of capacity to an interconnector
  • drafting a number of contracts for a global science and chemical company to address adapted complicated hybrid procurements — these include contracts with a cross-jurisdictional element, such as projects in China and Finland (approx. value £200million+)

Natasha has written or contributed to articles on construction topics for various publications.

Natasha is a member of our internal L&DM Lighthouse mentoring initiative and an external mentor under the Urban Lawyers North scheme.

She is also an associate lecturer for MSc Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at Leeds Beckett University.
