Kathrin works as a Principal Associate in the Commercial/IP/IT practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich.
She is an expert in legally advising international and medium-sized companies regarding all types of contracts within the framework of the supply chain. This includes her support in the negotiation of contracts as well as the drafting and adaptation of general terms and conditions. In addition, Kathrin advises companies on questions regarding export law as well as in the areas of IP law.
Her clients are mainly international companies from all industrial areas, including the automotive industry as well as manufacturers and distributors of consumer goods. Kathrin has also extensive experience representing clients in court proceedings with regard to warranty and liability claims.
Kathrin studied law at the University of Bayreuth where she also obtained the additional commercial law specialist degree of "Wirtschaftsjurist (Univ. Bayreuth)". After her first state examination in 2006, she continued her LL.M. studies at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City while at the same time earning her doctoral degree (Dr. jur.) in the field of antitrust and sports laws. During the four years that Kathrin spent in the United States, she also worked for a US law firm as well as in the firm’s sports agency assisting in international legal matters. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Kathrin worked at a German boutique law firm in the field of commercial and IP law with a focus on life sciences. Kathrin is admitted to the bar in Germany and also as an attorney-at-law to practice in the US State of New York as well as before the District Court of the Southern District of New York. She joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2016.
Kathrin Gack is recommended by Legal 500 Germany for Trade, Distribution and Logistics and for IP by Best Lawyers/Handelsblatt in the young talent category "Ones to Watch".
Her recent experience includes:
- Drafting the contracts of purchase as well as terms and conditions of purchase for an international manufacturer of sports goods
- Permanently advising several clients from different industrial areas regarding contracts within the supply chain
- Permanently advising an automotive supplier regarding the contractual design of its relationships with automotive manufacturers as well as suppliers and subcontractors
