Practice notes

Julian-Claudius Götz is a Counsel at our Dusseldorf office and member of the Real Estate practice group. He advises national and international project developers, logistics companies and investors on all matters in connection with real estate transactions as well as on commercial tenancy law (built-to suit and existing real estate).

A focus of his work lies on the asset class of logistics properties.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Julian-Claudius worked for various international law firms.

His experience includes:

  • Advising a funds on the acquisition of a portfolio comprising 61 properties
  • Advising various international retailers in connection with entering the German market and with the drafting and negotiation of numerous commercial lease agreements
  • Advising an international private equity investor on the acquisition of a leading European hotel chain
  • Providing ongoing advice to an international e-commerce and logistics company on the drafting and negotiation of commercial lease agreements and addenda for project developments (built-to-suit), existing properties and parking spaces
  • Advising shopping centre operators on the drafting and negotiation of lease agreements
  • Advising an international cosmetics company on the development of its headquarters
  • Providing ongoing advice to retail companies in connection with the conclusion of lease agreements and addenda
  • Advising project developers in connection with various real estate matters (e.g. purchase and sale, leasing, counselling during construction as well as structuring of property issues)
