Practice notes
Simon is an associate in our Construction and Engineering Group, experienced in construction disputes.
He has gained experience on a range of matters involving various forms of dispute resolution, including: mediation, international arbitration, adjudication, expert determination and court litigation.
His recent experience includes: assisting the team in acting for an engineering contractor as respondent in LCIA proceedings (EUR 50m claim) in relation to the supply and maintenance of a gas power plant; assisting the owner of an OCGT power plant as respondent in adjudication proceedings relating to performance criteria of key items of plant; assisting in a series of adjudications on behalf of a major real-estate developer relating to luxury residential building in central London; assisting a global data centre developer across its European projects in a project advisory capacity in relation to the insolvency of its principle contractor; and supporting on other expert determination, mediation and court litigation proceedings.
Simon also has experience advising on live projects, including in the clean energy and data centre sectors.
Simon can assist with transactional construction work, having previously supported on a number of data centre projects across Europe, advising on the negotiation of framework agreements, consultant appointments, novation agreements and warranties.
