Practice notes

Carly is an Associate in our litigation and dispute management practice group, with experience in all areas of dispute resolution. She has a particular focus on the education sector, having advised clients across the FE and HE sectors on a broad range of disputes.

Carly has experience in County Court and High Court litigation. Some of her recent experience includes advising on public procurement disputes and complex commercial disputes.

Carly acts as a Legal Adviser to a professional conduct panel, advising the panel on questions of mixed law and fact and matters of practice and procedure.

Other projects include work on high profile public inquiries, representing core participants.

Carly’s recent experience, includes:

  • advising education clients on disputes with subcontractors and termination of agreements;
  • advising universities on contractual disputes with suppliers and students;
  • acting for a property portal provider in respect of a large volume of claims for breach of contract;
  • advising a number of clients on public procurement challenges;
  • acting for a utilities provider in respect of a high value dispute issued in the High Court arising out of a business disposal;
  • acting on high profile public inquiries, representing core participants.

Qualifications and education

  • LLM - Distinction in Legal Practice Course and Advanced Drafting, 2015-2016
  • LLB (Hons) Law with Business, 2012 – 2015 (2:1)
