Practice notes
Michael is a Senior Associate in our HR practice group. He qualified in 2008 and is experienced in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law.
He has UK and international experience and regularly advises clients on employment law issues arising from organisational and structural changes. In addition, he regularly handles executive appointments and terminations.
Michael also has extensive experience of handling tribunal claims and regularly undertakes advocacy at any Tribunal hearing. He has acted for numerous Respondent clients in relation to a variety of discrimination claims as well as claims concerning breach of contract, TUPE, agency worker rights, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal.
His recent case work includes: advising on collective consultation obligations arising from the merger of a three European Companies; assisting a global organisation with the transfer of its central operations from the UK to numerous other European jurisdictions; advising a US based retailer on a large scale reorganisation in the UK and across Europe; and drafting employment policies and Bonus Schemes for a global company.
Michael has been praised by clients' for providing advice which is grounded in commercial reality and takes pride in providing advice that is to the point and tailored to the particular circumstances.
