Simon is a Partner within the real estate practice group.

Simon specialises in real estate investment and development. He has substantial experience advising and managing teams to advise clients such as Legal and General, Harworth Group plc and NewRiver REIT plc on acquisitions/disposals, development, landlord and tenant transactions and asset management work relating to many asset classes.

Examples include:

  • acting for an institutional investor on the acquisition of several key assets throughout the UK including a Retail Park in Hull for £58m and a Retail Park in Sheffield for £39m;
  • acting for an institutional investor on the disposal of a multi-let office and retail building in London to two purchasers through a linked conditional sale for a total sale price of £29m;
  • acting for a leading regeneration property company on the real estate aspects of the acquisition of a member share in an LLP which owns a major strategic development site in Leeds; and
  • acting for a major retail property company on the disposal of a shopping centre in Leamington Spa for £28.4m.

In addition, Simon has acted for banks in real estate finance transactions and administrators in the asset management and subsequent disposals of distressed assets.
