Kate is a Senior Associate in our Banking and Finance group and is based in London.

Kate advises on a wide range of finance transactions, primarily in the real estate sector. Kate has experience representing financial institutions, private equity firms and corporate borrowers in real estate financings (both investment and development), acquisition financings, restructurings and general banking matters.

Kate’s recent experience includes advising:

  • a real estate fund, as lender, on separate financings provided to real estate private equity firms to acquire and develop portfolios of logistics assets in the Netherlands, the UK and Germany
  • a real estate debt fund, as lender, in relation to the financing of an office building in the City of London
  • a real estate debt fund, as lender, on the development of a student accommodation scheme in the UK
  • a global asset manager, as borrower, on the financing of its acquisition of an office building in Paris
  • a global asset manager, as borrower, on the financing of its acquisition and development of a portfolio of logistics assets in Spain
  • an international real estate developer and manager, as borrower, on various acquisition of purpose built student accommodation schemes in the UK
  • a private equity firm, as sponsor, on the financing of a $250million cross border acquisition in the telecommunications sector
  • the largest shareholder of a Plc on its restructuring, involving the restructuring of a margin loan facility and the sale of shares
  • an agent and security agent, in a £450million cross border restructuring, including the acquisition of the group by its lenders and provision of new money facilities
  • a professional football club on its finance arrangements, including central funds and transfer related financings
