Chris is a Partner in our finance group specialising in mid-market acquisition finance and corporate refinancing. He advises private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, banks and debt funds on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions. His experience covers leveraged and acquisition financing, direct lending, distressed or opportunistic debt investments, restructuring and refinancing.
Recent representative experience includes:
- acting for the Daisy Group in relation to its group reorganisation and refinancing, consisting of a unitranche facility (one of Europe’s largest to-date), super senior RCF and Holdco PIK facility provided by Ares;
- acting for Livingbridge in relation to its buyout of LoveHolidays (the highest value deal for an online travel company to-date), featuring a unitranche/super senior RCF financing package provided by Permira and a UK clearing bank;
- acting for Phoenix Equity Partners in connection with its investment in Forest Holidays, financed by way of a unitranche/super-senior RCF provided by Ares and UK clearing bank;
- advising LDC in relation to its buyout of FC Business Intelligence, financed by way of a unitranche facility and super-senior RCF provided by Ares and UK clearing bank; and
- acting for Augusta Ventures in relation to its £116m refinancing and numerous ongoing financing matters.
