Practice notes

Richard is a Partner in the technology team. Richard specialises in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and technology agreements and particularly enjoys and excels working with clients in the technology sector. This includes advising on outsourcing, software and hardware arrangements, services agreements, cyber security, software developments and data centre agreements.

Richard has acted on a large number of major transactions for both public and private sector organisations, his recent experience includes:

  • advising on a £multimillion software deal of a business critical nature for a large global organisation;
  • advising a leading global diversified industrials client in respect of its SAP hosting arrangements;
  • a six month secondment to HM Revenue & Customs’ technology team;
  • advising a global chemicals company in relation to a large number of interconnected international supply arrangements forming part of a $1 billion transaction;

Legal 500 identifies Richard as coming “highly recommended” and Richard was a finalist for the Made in Manchester Lawyer of the Year 2017 award and the Manchester Law Society Solicitor of the Year 2017 award.
