Practice notes

Annekathrin is a Senior Associate in the Construction Law practice group in our Munich office.

In her practice she focusses on all aspects of private and public construction law as well as planning law and other areas of public law. Another focus area of Annekathrin is the enforcement of and defence against remuneration claims, claims for defects or damages and the awarding of contracts for building works.

She is also a specialist in procurement matters, with advising authorities and bidders in all areas of procurement law.

She further specialises in environmental law, regularly advising companies operating in the chemicals, energy, agriculture and waste industries on environmental law issues in the context of transactions and representing them before authorities, e.g. with regards to permits, emissions, soil and water protection issues.

Annekathrin is the author of several papers on procurement law on IBR-online.

Annekathrin studied law at Potsdam University, Humboldt University in Berlin, in Bournemouth, UK, and Granada, Spain. She furthermore attended the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer (LL.M., 2016 "State and Administration in Europe"). She completed her legal traineeship inter alia with an international law firm in Berlin, the German Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth in Berlin and with the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. She was admitted to the bar in 2016. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland in February 2017, she worked as a lawyer at the competence centre of the German Notary Institute (Deutsches Notarinstitut, DNotI). Her responsibilities included advising notaries and preparing expert opinions on international law.

Annekathrin is recommended for construction law by Best Lawyers/Handelsblatt in the young talent category "Ones to Watch".
