Brexit and the legal implications for businesses

Kelly is a Partner in our commercial team.

Kelly specialises in high value, complex commercial contracts, outsourcings, joint ventures and strategic reorganisations on a national and international basis. Kelly has worked on a number of major international multi-jurisdictional commercial contracts projects, with particular expertise in asset management, business expansion and routes to market, including specialist knowledge of agency and distribution across Europe. Kelly is part of our international contracts team working closely with colleagues across the globe.

Kelly’s experience includes:

• advising a leading real estate investment company on the asset management of its UK property portfolio, including the strategic insourcing of the property management and outsourcing of core facilities management services, including security, cleaning and M&E;

• advising a global retailer on an internal reorganisation and the implementation of a new business model with a global supplier for the manufacture, sale and distribution of certain consumer products on a global basis;

• advising a global designer of integrated power systems on the supply arrangements for a joint venture with a leading manufacturer for the sharing and use of proprietary technology in the aerospace industry;

• advising a world leading asset manager of investment funds on the exit and settlement of a multi-million pound outsourcing for the delegation of investment operations, derivatives valuations and derivatives collateral management;

• providing specialist commercial, consumer and e-commerce advice to a US retail client on its expansion into Europe, including project managing a specialist team across Europe.

Kelly is a regular speaker at our SHINE events and is regularly involved in providing contract training for a variety of Eversheds' clients, including Hammerson and Siemens, and has presented training on routes to market to the Icelandic Trade Council.

The impact of Brexit will not be the same for all businesses. Our Brexit lawyers are working with a number of clients to help them with Brexit planning. We are helping them take steps to put themselves in the best possible position.
