Practice notes
Rebecca is an associate in our Human Resources Practice Group. Rebecca specialises in employment and immigration law, advising clients in both the public and private sector. Rebecca joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2016 and trained as a solicitor with the firm, qualifying in 2018.
Rebecca advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law. Rebecca has dealt with many tribunal claims for employers covering a wide range of issues such as unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing. She also provides advice on TUPE; employee severances including the negotiation of settlement agreements; general day to day HR advice; information and consultation; and policy terms and conditions. Rebecca’s employment contentious/non-contentious workload is approximately 50:50.
Rebecca works closely with global organisations who want to ensure global mobility by enabling their current employees to work the UK and recruiting internationally. She also has significant experience advising on global mobility outside the UK. Rebecca’s recent immigration experience includes; assisting migrants with the application process to obtain permission to live and work in the UK under the Points Based System (PBS); providing advice on all aspects of the prevention of illegal working; co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional right to work projects; and managing a multi-jurisdictional immigration helpline.
Rebecca regularly prepares and delivers training on both employment and immigration matters.
Rebecca has extensive experience of the energy sector having spent time on secondment at both EDF Energy Renewables and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. Whilst on secondment, Rebecca worked in the Legal team directly supporting the business.
