Shane has over 5 years PQE with experience in delivering complex strategic commercial and technology contracts to clients internationally, providing advice on cross-border IT and Business Process Outsourcing arrangements, cloud computing (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and CPaaS), agency and distribution, supplies of goods and services, website T&Cs, and provides support to our Corporate team to deliver major joint commercial/corporate projects, and has previous experience in public sector procurement law.

He has particular sector knowledge and experience drafting and advising on a wide variety of commercial and technology contracts for clients in aviation, financial services, healthcare, technology, and the public sector and has secondment experience with clients in financial services (insurance), utilities, central government and emergency services.

Shane has worked on several significant transactions for clients, including advising on:

  • a global power technology leader’s procurement of its pan-European Chargepoint as a Service (CPaaS) solution
  • a global healthcare client’s end-to-end provision of an e-care cloud platform and hosting solution
  • a leading telecommunications client’s high-value business collaboration arrangement for the provision and onward sale of cloud technology solutions worldwide
  • a financial services client’s intermediary SaaS platform for a new ‘buy now’ platform comparison model for purchasing insurance policies based on a single underwriting question set
  • a central government department’s business-critical, high-value, and complex digital transformation tower service model for outsourcing its entire ICT service provision
  • advising on the commercial terms in settlement agreements for a global client in the aviation sector, with an aggregate value of over $1 billion
