Ben is an Associate in our Corporate Real Estate team.

He specialises in acting for major corporate clients across a number of sectors and his work includes general portfolio management, freehold and leasehold disposal and acquisition programmes, the real estate aspects of share and assets sales and purchases and large project work.

Key clients include Microsoft, Wolseley UK Limited, HSBC, Sims Group UK Limited, Glen Dimplex, National Veterinary Services Limited, Iron Mountain and Arqiva Limited.

Ben has a great deal of experience leading on the real estate elements of corporate transactions involving large portfolios across multiple jurisdictions. Ben always seeks to provide his clients with commercial, practical and worthwhile advice.

Notable recent transactions include:

  • Acting for Arqiva Holdings Limited on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Arqiva Services Limited to Cellnex for £2.5bn, including leading on an intra-group assignment project involving more than 4,000 telecoms and broadcasting mast sites across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland;
  • Advising Ferguson UK Holdings Limited on the sale of Wolseley UK Limited to Clayton, Dubilier and Rice LLC for £308m, including the real estate aspects of the share sale and negotiating the sale documentation;
  • Leading on the real estate aspects of an acquisition by Wolseley UK Limited of various assets, including property, from Saint-Gobain Building Distribution Limited, namely part of the assets held and occupied by Graham the Plumbers Merchant;
  • Acting for Microsoft on the acquisition of leasehold property in order to facilitate the development of high-specification data centres in multiple international jurisdictions, serving both the private and public sector; and
  • Advising Sims Group UK Limited on a freehold and leasehold acquisition and disposal programme, involving 20+ properties across England and Wales.

Ben studied law at the University of East Anglia and completed his Legal Practice Course and Masters with Distinction in Nottingham. Ben’s outside interests include football, tennis and chess.
