Practice notes

Eilian is a Principal Associate in our real estate practice group. He has experience in a broad range of real estate matters including sales, acquisitions, lettings, refinancings, prelets, landlord and tenant work and general commercial property management. Eilian has also advised clients on various property elements of merger & acquisition, insolvency, restructuring and refinancing transactions, including carry out due diligence.

Eilian primarily works for commercial developers and investors in public and private sectors and various housebuilders in relation to all aspects of land acquisitions and disposals, including option agreements, site assembly and the letting and sale of completed developments. He has experience of work involving business parks, out-of-town retail developments, industrial estates, office premises, mixed-use schemes and land acquired for residential development, as well as work in the transport and renewable energy sectors.

His recent experience includes: acting for a national housebuilder in its acquisition of substantial phases of a residential development site for the construction of 524 dwellings and the subsequent disposals of various phases forming parts of the site to other housebuilders and housing associations; acting for a joint venture between two construction companies in disposing of various phases of a large mixed use development site on a former RAF base; and acting for a prominent privately owned property company in its disposal of a number of former industrial/commercial sites for mainly residential use.

Eilian is a fluent Welsh speaker and has drafted legal documents and correspondence in the Welsh language.
