Samantha helps transport clients strategically negotiate and conclude commercial property transactions.
Samantha is an Associate in our Real Estate practice group and specializes in infrastructure transport matters.
She acts for major rail clients and has experience dealing with landlord and tenant issues, including leases, licenses and easements, acquisitions, disposals, developments, and compulsory purchases.
Samantha advises on all aspects of commercial property management issues facilitating the construction of railways and associated infrastructure, as well as commercial lettings, taking into account the regulatory, safety and rail-specific demands of the client.
She has worked as a dedicated Real Estate lawyer since qualifying in 2018.
Samantha is a member of the firm’s charity committee and takes an active role in volunteering to support the numerous charities the firm sponsors.
She is passionate about social mobility, having previously coordinated a Right to Read Scheme for 3 years which involved lawyers meeting with primary and secondary school students to help improve their reading and literacy skills. She also mentors students on two social mobility schemes partnering with the Social Mobility Foundation to provide advice to A-Levels students on all aspects of professional working life and BPP University's Access to Practice program providing an insight into the legal sector and assisting with CV writing and training contract application advice.
Samantha also has a keen interest in the social side of the firm, sitting on the Social Committee helping to arrange office events year-round.
She also takes part in a pro bono death row program partnered with Amicus UK to help review the accuracy and legality of arrest warrants right through to post-conviction hearings in order to find any relevant evidence that may challenge the decision to award a death sentence to prisoners in Florida, USA.
