Huw is an Employment Partner in the Human Resources team at Eversheds Sutherland having qualified as a solicitor in 1997. Huw has 20 years’ experience (10 years as a Partner) of advising the private, public and third sector clients in relation to a wide range of employment law issues from “routine” disciplinary and grievances matters through to mergers and restructuring issues.

Huw also leads the Eversheds Sutherland Local Government Team nationally across all disciplines as well as the employment and pensions team for the wider public sector. He works closely with his counterparts for the public and third sectors.

Huw has represented clients in Tribunal claims and has also acted on multiple action claims including advising local authorities on the defence of thousands of equal pay claims and advising on the defence of multiple section 145B and section 189 TULRCA claims. Huw is a regular speaker at external conferences on areas such as Gender Pay; Equal Pay, discrimination; restructuring and redundancies; and TUPE transfers.
