Richard is a Partner in our Corporate Group. He specialises in private equity, international M&A and transactions with a focus on the diversified industrial sector.

Richard's recent transactional experience includes:

  • acting for Aurelius on the carve out of £2bn turnover business Office Depot Europe from Office Depot Inc;
  • acting for Alimentation Couche-Tard on the $2.8billion purchase of Statoil Fuel & Retail from Statoil;
  • acting for SPX Corporation on the £750million acquisition of Clyde Union Pumps;
  • acting for Siemens Energy, Inc on its joint venture with John Wood Group plc;
  • acting for Bard Capital Partners on the buyouts of Prescient Healthcare and Bfinance;
  • acting for Inflexion Private Equity Partners on the buyouts of Prolabs and Alcumus Group and the subsequent £47m bolt on acquisition by Alcumus of Santia Holdings;
  • acting for CBPE Capital on the buyout of Rodericks Dental Holdings and the carve out of OH Assist from ATOS;
  • acting for H2 Equity Partners on the buyout of BA Kitchen Components;
  • acting for Accel-KKR on its investment in and on the £100m secondary buy-out of Kerridge Commercial Systems Limited;
  • acting for Juggernaut Capital Partners on its investment in Ceuta Healthcare Limited and for Ceuta on its pan-European acquisition strategy;
  • acting for Advantage Sales & Marketing on the acquisitions of REL Field Marketing, Flixmedia and Intermarketing Group.

As part of his focus on the diversified industrial sector, Richard was also seconded for three months to work alongside the GC of one of our clients, Doncasters Inc, with whom he continues to work today.

He also holds a Northern Irish practicing certificate and works closely with the Dublin corporate partners and Belfast office for clients and on transactions in respect of businesses based in Northern Ireland.
