Kyle is a partner in our employment law department based at the Melrose Arch office in Johannesburg.
He has gained experience in various aspects of employment law and civil litigation including, but not limited to, the drafting and preparation of all notices, pleadings and affidavits to be used in both labour and civil disputes, as well as participating in the prosecution of various labour dispute, be it at internal disciplinary enquires, CCMA processes and the like.
Kyle's experience includes:
- Part of the team that launched a High Court application against our client's customer for payment of monies due for goods purchased by the customer concerned.
- Part of the team that assisted our client in successfully defending a High Court review application launched by one of its former students who was excluded from the University for gross misconduct, including kidnapping. The review application was aimed at setting aside the decision to exclude her.
- Part of the team that were successful in opposing an urgent application brought against our client by one of its employees who sought an order declaring an internal review hearing of the employee's disciplinary hearing and outcome was unlawful and void ab initio.
Kyle graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with an LLB (law) degree in 2015 as well as a Master of Laws (Intellectual Property) cum laude in 2017. He was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2020.
